Dr. Chirag Chavda is the founder and chief physician of 24x7drs.com. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine. He trained as a physician in New Jersey and graduated top of his class in 2011. He has been practicing as a physician since 2011 in various states including Texas, Massachusetts, New Mexico and Tennessee. He loves to travel and live in new places and as a physician he loves to serve diverse patient populations. Hence he got licensed and practiced in several states and loved working and living in each of them. That is why Telemedicine has been such a blessing for him professionally. Telemedicine gives him the unique opportunity to treat patients all over the country which is not possible physically. He is also a night owl and it is another reason he loves Telemedicine. He can provide care anytime of the day or night. Thus, we can try to fulfill a great void in the field of Medicine where patients do not have anyone to approach once regular office hours are over. This leaves no choice for the patient but to go to an emergency room or hospital in the middle of the night even for minor problems and wait hours while also getting stuck with expensive ER bills. Similarly, patients sometimes do not get timely care of chronic conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure because their city or town does not have enough doctors. Telemedicine can be very helpful because one doctor can serve multiple towns, cities or states simultaneously. All of this while the patients do not even have to leave their home.
